I’m interested to speak with you more – how do we begin the conversation?
Please feel free to email directly through our contact page or contact us by phone to schedule a complimentary phone consultation. During that time, we can discuss the best options for your specific concerns.
When might I expect to hear from you?
We make every effort to respond to inquiries via phone or email within 24 hours. Please note: to protect your privacy and confidentiality email will only be used to discuss details regarding scheduling and other logistical concerns. We will not discuss personal details via electronic communication.
Do you take insurance?
We accept insurance utilizing your out-of-network benefits. Remaining out of network allows us to provide optimal care without limiting treatment based on insurance restrictions or compromising confidentiality.
We routinely work with most major insurance companies including Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Oxford & United Health Care.
If you are unsure about your out-of-network coverage, we are happy to assist in discussing how to best minimize your out-of-pocket expenses based on your specific providers coverage.
What are your fees?
We offer an individualized, sliding fee scale based on your out-of-network coverage, income, and treatment needs. Typical fees range from $250 – $300. Please note: with out-of-network coverage, out-of-pocket expenses incurred by you are typically far lower and range between 25 – 35% of the actual set fee depending on your insurance provider/coverage.
I think I’d like to get started – what else should I consider?
We are very excited you are considering embarking on this journey with us. Clinical science tells us that the most important basis for a therapeutic treatment, regardless of the type of therapy employed, is the fit between client and therapist. And our intuition confirms this. For growth and change to occur, you must feel comfortable with the therapist with whom you are working.
For that reason, we advise you to pay attention to how you’re feeling over the course of the first several sessions: Do you feel heard? Is the therapist engaging you in a way that fits with your personal style? Do you feel accepted and free of judgement during sessions? Does it seem like the therapist genuinely cares about what you are experiencing? These are good questions to ask in assessing whether you’ve got the foundation for a successful treatment.
Lastly, many clients want to know when they can expect relief or start to feel better after beginning treatment. It is important to remember that a successful therapy is an art based on a science that will look different for everyone. Many times, clients will come for consultation regarding one issue but come to realize that, in fact, their most pressing concerns may be only superficially related. We view our responsibility to provide the framework and environment in which clients can explore the totality of their experience while immediately tackling the issues that are most important to them from the moment they arrive. We welcome you to that journey and thank you for considering us to be a part of it.
